Just a small follow-up update with a couple UI improvements for the new features released in the previous version. Most importantly, the buttons in the main timer screen on watchOS were rearranged and some of the icons updated to make things more intuitive and consistent. Oh and there’s also a link to Zenitizer’s Bluesky profile in the Settings tab now. If you're active there and would like to learn about Zenitizer updates and related news ahead of time, that’s a great place to follow my work and show some support :) Happy meditating, Manuel
Hey everyone! I'm happy to announce an update packed with exciting features to improve the meditation timer experience! 1. Volume Mixer: change the volume of background vs. bell sounds 2. Default background sound: pick (and quickly change) app-wide default soundscapes 3. Completely redesigned sound picker: quicker, more convenient, more accessible and prettier than the old menu :) You can save your favorite volume levels for the whole app as defaults or overwrite specific volume levels for each meditation timer routine. For example, you might want the bell sounds to be quieter in your evening routine but want them louder so you never miss them when you meditate throughout the day? Just set the default volume levels the way you like and override the volume settings for your evening meditation routine ;) The same applies for the new default background sounds: Maybe your favorite background sound is that cozy, crackling fireplace sound, but for your morning routine you always want some calming yet energizing birdsong to accompany your meditation? Simply override the background sound with birdsong for that specific routine! And when you later change the default background sound from fireplace to rain, the morning routine will still play birdsong. The new sound picker not only looks much nicer but it'll also make it a lot easier and quicker to preview and select background and bell sounds - No more navigating through multiple layers of nested menus ;) I'd like to thank everyone who sent me feedback and asked about the volume mixer feature as well as everyone who beta tested these changes and helped me get them ready for App Store release! I love hearing from you and if you ever have any suggestions, feedback or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out at support@manuelkehl.com Thanks and Happy Meditating! Manuel
This update improves the user experience around in-app purchases. If you're already a Zenitizer+ subscriber, you shouldn't notice any difference but for those just getting started, it’ll hopefully make the overall experience even smoother. Best wishes and happy meditating, Manuel
The user experience of the sound picker menus has been significantly improved: Bells are now organized in groups and when you preview a sound it will no longer dismiss the menu, making it a lot easier to quickly try multiple sounds in a row and discover your new favorites :) With the big 1.13 update there are now so many sounds that it was time to revisit this to make sure it works well with a growing number of sounds. Thanks to everyone who provided feedback on this - you’re helping me make the app better for everyone! Best wishes and happy meditating, Manuel PS: If you’re enjoying Zenitizer, it’d really help me if you leave a review on the App Store and tell other meditators about the app ;)
This update includes improved icons for some of the new soundscapes and a fix for a bug during onboarding in very specific configurations (to encounter this, you’d have to keep iCloud sync for Zenitizer enabled while iCloud Drive is turned off system-wide). Apologies to anyone affected by this! Best wishes and happy meditating, Manuel
The Sound Of Meditation: This update contains LOTS of new and improved interval bell sounds (including softer-sounding and wooden options) as well as five new soundscapes. Listen to early morning birdsong or evening cicadas while meditating or try one of the new white, pink or brown noise background sounds. I also fixed a glitch in the sound picker UI on watchOS that was affecting some users. I really hope the new sounds will bring you joy and enhance your meditation practice! At this point, I’d like to give a BIG THANKS to everyone who sent me suggestions for new sounds! I hope I was able to accommodate most of them and will keep adding more on an ongoing basis, so please keep the suggestions coming ;) Best wishes and happy meditating, Manuel
This update fixes a crash on certain watchOS setups, I accidentally introduced in the last version. I’m really sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you and for not catching this in my own testing! I narrowed down how to reproduce the crash and was able to verify the fix on my end, but please reach out to me at support@manuelkehl.com if the problem persists for you after updating to Zenitizer 1.12.2 and, as always, never hesitate to get in touch if you have questions, problems or suggestions ;) Thanks to everyone who reached out to let me know about problem and sincere apologies again! Manuel
Just a minor update with under-the-hood architecture improvements. No exciting new features or notable changes in this update; sorry… That said, I am currently working on an update with additional sounds, so please let me know (support@manuelkehl.com) if you have any specific soundscapes or bells on your wishlist ;) Happy Meditating, Manuel
I've polished the auto stop timer feature in this update to make your meditation sessions end more peacefully. Now, all end bells will play completely and fade out smoothly, regardless of which sound you've chosen. A big thank you to everyone who reported that some bells were getting cut off before finishing! Your feedback helps make Zenitizer better for everyone. As always, I’d really appreciate a review and if you notice anything that could be improved or have ideas for new features, please reach out to support@manuelkehl.com to get in touch with me directly :) Happy Meditating, Manuel
In this update, I’ve enhanced the “nature” sound significantly. If this is already your favorite soundscape, I’m confident you’ll enjoy it even more now. If it wasn’t your cup of tea before, now would be a good time to give it another try ;) Thanks and Happy Meditating, Manuel
Just a small bugfix update addressing a rare background refresh issue on watchOS. Please help out Zenitizer with a rating or review on the App Store and consider telling your friends about it. Your help is much appreciated! Thanks for using my app and happy meditating! Manuel
Do you love customizing all the nitty-gritty details of your timer routines? Well, this update might be exciting for you, as it introduces the ability to set intervals and other bell durations with second precision as well as increase the start bell countdown to multiple minutes if you want. Here’s how you can switch between seconds and minutes in the timer config view: 1. Expand the relevant timer config section (e.g. “Interval Bells”) 2. Long-press the duration text (e.g. “5 Min”, “10 Sec”) 3. Choose “Minutes” or “Seconds” from the context menu (Pro Tip: this also works on your Apple Watch) Best wishes and happy meditating, Manuel
A small update that adds semantic color to the inline Apple Watch complication (the one at the bottom of the “Utility” watch face). Based on whether you will break, keep or grow your streak, the symbol is now either gray or shown a dim or bright version of the Zenitizer accent color. This should make it easier to see at a glance whether you’ve met your daily goal - and hopefully will feel rewarding when you do ;) Best wishes and happy meditating! Manuel
This update contains a small fix for a background refresh issue affecting some Zenitizer users on Apple Watch. Thanks for using Zenitizer and Happy Meditating! Manuel
Just a quick follow-up release with a few under-the-hood fixes. Small follow-up update with minor fixes for the previous release, that I had been working on over the last couple months to completely overhaul and redesign how Zenitizer stores and syncs your meditation data. Not only will this improve the app’s performance, it’ll also make synchronization more reliable and allow me to understand and fix bugs faster and quickly iterate on exciting new features in future updates! While this is one of the biggest updates I have ever shipped, most of the changes are “under the hood”, so there won’t be many visible changes (I have a bunch of those in store for the upcoming OS update - so stay tuned!). In this version, the two most visible changes are a new backup feature that allows you to quickly export your meditation history and routines and a number of UI and performance improvements for the session history view introduced in the last version. I would love to hear how this update is working for you, so don’t hesitate to reach out to support@manuelkehl.com. Thanks for using Zenitizer and Happy Meditating! Manuel

*New Feature: Meditation History* Relive your meditation journey through the full history view. Edit, add or delete past sessions, change daily goals and repair your streaks with ease. Forgot to track that meditation last weekend and broke your streak? Or did you accidentally record a session you'd like to delete? With the new Meditation History feature, you can revisit any day to adjust your meditation records - or simply reflect on your growth along the way! To see your history, just tap the "calendar" icon on the Daily Goal tab ;) I hope you'll enjoy the new feature (and Zenitizer in general). If you do, please leave a quick rating or review and tell your friends about the app to support me on my journey building it :) Best wishes and Happy Meditating, Manuel
Just a small maintenance update to improve the onboarding process a little. Quick reminder: version 1.7 recently introduced the option to automatically stop the meditation timer when the duration is over. Super useful for sleep meditations or when you simply don't intend to sit longer and want it to finish automatically. If you enjoy the app, please help me out by telling your friends or leaving a quick rating or review - it really makes a difference :) Thanks and Happy Meditating!
Quick follow-up fix for yesterday's update which introduced a much-requested feature: automatically stopping the session when time is up. This is super useful for sleep meditations that you want to stop automatically after a while or when you generally don't want to sit longer than originally planned. This behavior can be defined in the "End Session" section of the bell configuration view and can be different for each of your routines. So you could have one routine for open ended sessions, that run longer and another route for a sleep meditation, that stops automatically, for example. There are many ways you can use this and as usual: Zenitizer is designed to be a customizable tool that you can shape to your needs ;) If you enjoy the app, please help me out with a quick rating or review - it really makes a difference :) Thanks and Happy Meditating! Manuel

This update improves the new user onboarding flow and the statistics view. You can now share statistics for any of the available periods ("Last 7 Days", "Current Year", "All Time") as a an image with a personalized message. Why not share your progress with friends to hold each other accountable? The update also contains under-the-hood optimizations for new hardware support :) Best Wishes & Happy Meditating Manuel
This update adds a highly-requested feature: the ability to log past meditation sessions at custom dates and times. Did you break your streak because you forgot to log a session yesterday? No problem! Just head over to the Daily Goal page, tap "Add Minutes" and select a custom meditation session end date to log the session retroactively. Big thanks to everyone who suggested this feature! It's feedback like yours that makes Zenitizer better for everyone and I am always happy to hear from you :) Best Wishes and Happy Meditating, Manuel PS: As an independent developer I rely on personal recommendations to reach new users who might enjoy the app, so if you know someone who meditates (or would like to get started) please tell them about Zenitizer. It makes a huge difference!
Bugfix: In rare cases, Zenitizer's statistics page may have claimed that you "meditated 8 days per week"... Sorry for the confusion about that. I did a bit of research and was able to confirm that weeks do, indeed, only have 7 days :D If you're still seeing any stats that are looking unrealistic after the update, please let me know! The statistics feature is still pretty new and while I tested it in various configurations, there's always a chance I overlooked certain scenarios and a bug like this slipped through :) Best Wishes and Happy Meditating! Manuel
This is just a small update with a few fixes and improvements. Best Wishes and Happy Meditating! Manuel
This update contains a fix for a layout inconsistency in the Zenitizer Apple Watch app timer UI and a few optimizations and preparations for the new year. There are now also links to easily follow @zenitizer on various social media channels right from the Settings tab. I'm planning to share tips and tricks online, as well as regular "community check-in" posts where you can comment and share your goals, progress and questions with other users. Would love to meet and chat with some of you online :) Wishing everyone a happy and healthy new year ahead! Sincere thanks for your support and for being on this journey with me. I'm looking forward to adding many new features and improvements for a smooth meditation experience with Zenitizer in 2024 :) Manuel
This update includes a fix for a rare crash. No notable changes or new features this time. So unless you were among the small group of users affected by the crash, you should not notice any difference :) Please let me know if you have any questions or run into any problems. Thanks and Happy Meditating! Manuel
