This update adds the ability to share from the Photos app (and others) to Value Study.
Small improvement to the new customisation pages.
This update brings customisation to the forefront the first time the app is opened. The options are still in Settings but will now be much more obvious to new users.
Small bugfix to ensure you are able to remove all palettes (except the default black-white) by long pressing on the palette of choice then clicking Remove.
As many of you know, I am very privacy-focused, so I’ve avoided using trackers in the app because they can often be invasive. In this update, I’ve added a privacy-friendly tracker called TelemetryDeck. Their values (no pun intended!) align very well with my own. I want to improve this app for everyone without compromising privacy like so many other apps do. This is a behind-the-scenes change, but I want to be completely upfront about it. I hope you'll see the positive impact as I can now focus my efforts where it matters most to everyone.
Just some small tweaks to the settings page. As always get in touch shane@valuestudy.app if you have any questions or feedback. Reviews always appreciated too!

This update will improve robustness for existing lifetime purchases when opening the app.
Updates the Palette tool to have a start and end color instead of always ending on black.
A small but useful bugfix today. This updates makes sure you can properly use iPadOS' split screen. Have Value Study open alongside your favourite drawing app!
Okay so Value Study is becoming a powerful tool now isn't it... it's time for the Information page. This is a simple but critical page that will hopefully help people new to Value Study to know where to start, and give the rest of you a reminder of where everything is. As always please reach out if there's any particular questions or guidance I can help with shane@valuestudy.app.

It's time for a performance release! This is just lots of behind-the-scenes work to ensure Value Study runs faster and more smoothly than ever.
A highly requested feature has been to introduce colour into Value Study. This update is the first step, it introduces a Palette tool which will let you switch and add new (currently monotone-only) colour value scales. I've also added a "send a tip" button in the settings. This is entirely optional, but of course very appreciated.
Update to fix reported bugs with new payment screen and some other bugfixes.
This update improves the way the annual subscription and lifetime purchases are implemented. This should result in less bugs with restoring purchases! It also sadly no longer supports iOS 15 due to limitations and bugs. I hope this update will make Value Study much more stable for everyone.
This update fixes a bug with value selection causing the other values to be hidden.
This fixes a bug affecting older MacOS versions which caused the app to crash on launch. Very glad to have (hopefully!) got to the end of that bug. Please email me shane@valuestudy.app if it is still crashing for you.
This update has a bunch of improvements for performance. It also has a bug fix for the highly-reported bug where it wasn't possible to save an image when using the outline mode... this turned out to be related to light/dark modes which has now been fixed!
Bugfixes for Mac Mini (caused a crash when trying to open the missing camera) and for opening simplification and gallery panel.
Value Study is now supported on MacOS! Purchases on iOS will work on MacOS too as long as the same Apple ID is being used. This update is some improvements behind the scenes that enabled the MacOS version.
Introducing the eyedropper tool! Just a small little tool that has been requested by many of you. With the eyedropper selected, you can select anywhere on your image to show the relevant value highlighted (and shown in the corresponding swatch on the value selector).
This is a small update to make it easier for me to see when bugs/errors happen and to hopefully be quicker at fixing them!
This aims to fix a bug that some people were seeing where opening the app just gave them a blank screen.
Here's the big one, Value Study is no longer free. There's a very low cost yearly subscription or an affordable lifetime purchase available which includes all features. I must say I am so humbled and grateful to all of you that use Value Study. When I put the message up saying this would happen, I didn't get one complaint but hundreds of positive messages of support. Honestly I am so thankful. Please do email me (shane@valuestudy.app) if you ever have questions, feedback or anything else. I didn't want to just put up a page blocking usage (or giving a set time to trial it) so this update also introduces the concept of Collections. These are collections of images that the app will provide (requires internet) images that you can use. This first one is the App Preview collection which non-paying users will see by default. But I hope over time I can provide some useful collections of images for you to all use!
