================ Shortcuts Integration ================ Yata 4.2 builds on its existing support for Apple shortcuts, now allowing users to query, add and delete attachments. These actions open up possibilities for new workflows, such as the example "Capture with Voice" shortcut (see https://www.yata-gtd.com/User-Guide/Using-Apple-Shortcuts) that records audio, transcribes it, and captures both the audio and transcript into Yata. In this way, even if the transcription is not optimal, the audio remains available as an attachment for manual inspection. ======================== Project Next Actions Suggestions ======================== In true GTD style, a Project list should contain very few (if not one) next actions, with subsequent parts of the plan stored as support material. To support this use case, Yata 4.2 will automatically detect next actions stored in a Project’s notes (prefixed with "- [ ] " to denote a checkbox), and suggests them to you when the Project list is empty. To learn more about this feature, just try creating a new Project!

Yata 4.0 is yet another major update that marks the exciting releases of the app on two new platforms! Apple Watch and Vision Pro ==================== Just 4 months since Yata 3.0, which celebrated the release of its native macOS client, Yata is now available on Apple Watch and Vision Pro! This milestone also satisfies a personal goal to develop an app that is native on all Apple platforms (well, almost—sorry Apple TV!). Every version of the app was painstakingly designed to align with the interface guidelines for its platform. Yata for Apple Watch is especially valuable to users that want to stay organised throughout the day, whether they’re on the go, in a meeting, or working out. And of course, your existing data will be kept in sync across all your different devices. Revamped Upcoming List ================== If all that wasn’t enough, Yata 4.0 also comes with a major upgrade to the Upcoming List, which now also displays your calendar events alongside your scheduled actions and captures, with a brand new design that aligns with its special status among all the other lists.

Yata 3.1 celebrates the latest update to iOS with new features! App Icons ======= iOS introduces more customisation options for app icons, including dark/tinted icons and the ability to switch between dark and light modes. Yata now supports these features with new app icon variants. I’m no graphic designer, but I think the new icons turned out pretty great! Speaking of design, if you have a knack for creating app icons, I’d love to see what you can do! Feel free to submit your designs to marketing@yata-gtd.com. While my budget is limited, I’m open to negotiating for high-quality work. Control Center Widgets ================= iOS also brings the customisation to the Control Center, allowing third-party apps to add their own controls. Yata now offers four customisable controls, allowing you to quickly access your favourite list or jump straight into creating new actions and captures. Quality of Life Improvements ===================== But that’s not all! Yata 3.1 introduces a highly requested feature for processing captures. After converting captures into actions, Yata can now be set to automatically move the converted captures to the trash. You can update this setting anytime under Settings → General → Trash Converted Captures.
