Additionally, the app icon now has a fresh new design, emphasizing a "blue remote control". The icon and the widgets are ready for the tinted and dark Home Screen designs on newest iOS versions. Please note, this is the last version that supports iOS 16. Future updates will require iOS 17 or newer versions.
More Control - Mute or unmute the player - Seek inside the current track - Shuffle mode on or off - Repeat mode one, all or off New Playback Control Widget - Play, pause and skip directly from your Home Screen, from your Lock Screen, and also in StandBy mode! - On your Home Screen, you also have access to more commands, like shuffle, repeat and volume. You can disable result dialogs in the settings of your automations.
This update corrects the Siri example sentences that were broken on latest iOS versions and brings also following improvements: * Show examples of short Siri commands as alternative to the long sentences * Show the troubleshooting message less often and provide an option to dismiss it * Discover also BluOS players in secondary zones and BluOS hubs * Handle players with fixed volume correctly
This update corrects the behavior of the skip next and back buttons. They were disabled when playing from local library and in some cases enabled for streams, that do not support skipping. (Thanks to Jim for reporting this!) Additionally, the cover image is now displayed as dimmed blurred background in "now playing" full screen view.
This release improves the player discovery. Some users seem to have problems finding their player, so more information is displayed and troubleshooting guides are provided. * showing brand name, model name and model icon of discovered players, if available * monitoring the online status of each found player continuously * detecting players that need initial setup – showing a hint that those players need to be setup before they can be used with BluRemote * displaying unsupported devices – music devices that could be found inside the network, but are not BluOS-compatible If no compatible player can be found, a new troubleshooting guide is available after some seconds, which describes common issues and solutions.
BluRemote now supports the Shortcuts app. You can automate following actions for your connected player: - Start and stop playback - Select and start a preset - Skip the current track (forward and backward) - Set the volume (between 0 and 100 percent) Furthermore, you can use several voice commands with Siri to execute the actions, for example short commands like: - "BluRemote, start" - "BluRemote, stop" - "BluRemote, next" - "BluRemote, previous" Or use longer sentences like: - "Stop playback in BluRemote app" - "Full volume in BluRemote app" - "Select a preset in BluRemote app" The most common actions are also available as predefined Shortcuts and in Spotlight. Other improvements: - pull to refresh the list of presets - better layout of the "now playing" view on very large and very small screens - better UI performance - no more flickering of the progress bar
This update brings the long awaited full-screen "now playing" view. Tap the small cover image or the small track information texts and the "now playing" view slides in from the bottom. Matching the BluRemote philosophy, the screen layout is clean and focused in order to show the most important information at first sight: the cover image and playback progress, the track information, and the play, pause and skip buttons. You can reveal more meta data – like stream quality, bitrate and the service name – by tapping the track information texts or by enabling the options on the settings screen. You can also quickly access the volume control and player selection by using the buttons on the top right corner.
- Nice visual and haptic feedback when tapping the player control and preset buttons - Animated waveform icon when the player is currently playing - Much faster reaction to all player commands - Drastically reduced local network traffic - All known bugs fixed and stability improved - App icon and name updated and link to App Store page added
