Cashculator adds an option for a custom first day of the week, independent of the system calendar. This may be useful if you budget based on weekly paycheck days. Find it in Settings. Additional improvements include a visible indicator when a scenario has a note attached to it and a fix for the notification icon in dark mode.
Bug fixes and general improvements
- Fix recurring plan transaction description not saving in some cases - Improve date display in Chinese
This update makes managing recurring plans easier, resolves a few bugs, better supports macOS Sequoia and updates the German translation. * Easier way to delete or modify a recurring plan on a specific date or from a specific date. * Fix Time Horizon menu item operation. * Fix vertical scrolling resetting in Reconcile screen when scrolling with mouse. * Fix calculation of combined total amounts in the sidebar. * Fix the repeating reloading of a document when it's opened on more than one Mac machine at the same time. * Better Sequoia support. * Improved German translation. * Updated subscription views. * Anonymous analytics (opt out). A little more about the analytics, since we're doing this to improve the app and do not want to be at all sneaky about this: We’ve integrated a system called Plausible analytics that lets us understand how folks use the app. This tracks things like settings and app purchase choices, but they’re tracked in aggregate and anonymously — no user data gets sent anywhere. If you don't want to send this information, just untick the Analytics checkbox in Cashculator > Settings.
Cashculator 2.4 enhances the Transactions Sidebar introduced in 2.3, making it easier to use and providing greater insight into your spending. Improvements include: - Totals now display for all selected transactions in the sidebar. - You can select more than one transaction in the sidebar (using Shift-click for a range or Command-click otherwise) and act on all selected transactions at once, copying, moving, deleting or dragging them to a new location in the spreadsheet table. Totals combined with the sidebar’s filters offer an easy way to see how a certain kind of spending is going. You can, for example, set the sidebar to show transactions by category, select Groceries in the table, and set the sidebar’s start date to 1/1/2024 to see how much you’ve spent at the supermarket so far this year. Power users who prefer to keep their hands on the keyboard can now: - Quickly switch focus between the spreadsheet table and the sidebar by pressing T. - Use the currently selected column in spreadsheet table to set the filter start date with S and the filter end date with E. - Find any transaction using the sidebar’s search with Command-F. We’ve also made a couple fixes to CSV Import (thank you to those who reported these issues): - CSVs with two-digit years should now import as expected. - CSVs with thousands separators should also now work as expected. There are also a number of other usability enhancements. Choose Show Release Notes from the Help menu to see the whole list. Thank you for your continued support!
