I am incredibly pleased to start a new long-term project of modernising underlying technologies used by Debit & Credit. The app has started in 2014 and many things have changed since then. Over the coming months or maybe even years I intend to modernise the code used by the app. This will allow the app to maintain its high level of performance and stability, as well as get new features faster in the future. In this version the following parts were rewritten: • report graphs • report tables • exporting reports to PDF • using Handoff for reports The changes were made only for the users running iOS 16 and macOS Ventura. If you are on an older version, you will see the same old reports. Actual report data (information generated by the app) will be rewritten in the next version. You should not see any major changes to the reports, I was aiming to keep them the same while rewriting. However, should you see any issues with report graphs or tables, please contact me through the app settings.
Added a new lock screen widget for budgets in the bigger rectangular size. The same widget is now available as a complication in watchOS.
Fixed bug when a top navigation title was staying on screen after swiping back on iPhone 14.
You can now add a widget to the lock screen to quickly launch the app (app launcher). The same widget is also available as a complication in watchOS 9.
Lock Screen Widgets (iOS 16 only) Debit & Credit supports a circular lock screen widget for budgets and a rectangular widget for scheduled transactions. When possible the app will provide the relevant icon for a widget based on its budget categories. New Apple Watch Complications (watchOS 9 only) Complications on Apple Watch are now the same as the lock screen widgets in the iOS app. You can assign a specific budget to a budget complication. New Account Icons (iOS 16 only) We have added five new icons available for accounts and account folders.
Bug fixes
Bug fixes
• small bug fixes and improvements • added Chinese localization
• when upcoming transactions are enabled they are no longer displayed until you scroll the list of transactions of transactions up. • when you have many attachments it can a bit hard to manage all of them in one place. So now on the “Attachments” page in the app settings attachments are grouped by year.
• fixed bug when entering transaction time was not working on iPad with attached external keyboard • fixed bug when transfers from/to accounts that are marked as excluded from net wealth calculation were leading to incorrect financial plans calculations • improved matching of existing payees when importing a file with transactions
• improvements to financial plans editing • improvements to reports when used with large font sizes • maximum transaction notes length increased to 2,500 characters
Now you can preview upcoming scheduled transactions in your accounts right next to regular transactions. To do that, select an account and tap on the options button (with three dots in a circle). Also the iOS version of the app gains local backups that are created automatically and can be managed in the advanced app settings.
Fixed bug when sometimes accounts in the watch app were displayed out of order.
