Hello friends, here's what's new: - NEW: Added “Tags” section to provide you with a quicker way of accessing tags - NEW: Added a “Share Unhinged with Friends” button to the settings screen (hint hint!) - Improved: New tab bar icons - Improved: Fixed an issue where the wrong smiley would sometimes appear. It shouldn't happen anymore. - Improved: Saving an entry no longer briefly switches the “Add Entry” view back to “How Are You?” As always, please let me know if anything comes up. Thanks! xoxo, Marcel
- This small version brings nothing new but fixes yet another notifications issue.
Friends, this one’s for the more nerdily inclined among you! - NEW: Export all your data to CSV. You can now take all your Unhinged data and do whatever you like with it. Throw it into an AI and ask whether your exercise routine affects your sleep quality, if those are things you track with Unhinged. The data is your oyster! - Improved: More notification improvements.
Friends, I present to you: alternative app icons! Just a few to start with, but I’m planning to expand the selection over time.
Friends, this is a small update: The Consistency graph on Tag views now shows your mood when you added the tag. That's it. That's the whole release!
If you’re thinking, “Marcel, when will Unhinged get widgets?” you’re in luck: now! - NEW: Widgets! One to show your mood, another to show the top tags of the current month. Two sizes each. Plus, a small one for your lock screen and control center to quickly add a new entry. - NEW: Demo Mode! Under Settings → Appearance, you can now toggle a mode that hides all personal data. This is helpful if you want to show the app to someone without revealing your deepest secrets. - NEW: Disable reminders! Only want to receive a reminder notification in the evening, but not in the morning or afternoon? The new toggles have you covered! - Improved: I think I fixed a problem with notifications, but who knows at this point. As always, let me know if you have thoughts, criticism, or just want to say hi: hi@marcel.io xoxo, Marcel
Hello friends, this is just a quick bugfix update: - Fixed a bug where the share sheet for exporting a day’s content as Markdown would immediately close on upcoming OS versions. - Fixed the tag consistency graph and the graph in person detail views to better handle entries added for past days. - Improved the performance of the tag consistency graph and the graph in person detail views. - Improved logging of notification settings to help me fix notification-related issues in the future. xoxo, Marcel
Friends, it’s me, Marcel! I come bearing updates! * NEW: A whole new section called “Reminders” will appear in “People” when you add a note with a reminder to a person. This creates a chronological list of upcoming reminders so you always know what’s coming. * NEW: Added a context menu to each day in the Journal. It currently contains only one option, allowing you to share a day as plain text. * Improved: Notifications for new entry reminders are now more reliable. * Improved: The illustration in People → Archive is now much better. * Improved: Adding an entry in Stats → Calendar now properly updates the view every time. * Improved: Added missing notification translations for German. As always, let me know if you have thoughts, criticism, or just want to say hi: hi@marcel.io xoxo, Marcel
Hello friends! You know the drill, it’s time for another round of “What has Marcel been working on?” Today’s changes: - New: German localization! Hallo Freunde! - New: When adding a person, you can now choose from a set of default avatars. - Improved: Notifications no longer get sent for parts of the day that already have an entry. - Improved: Tapping a notification now takes you directly to the Add Entry flow. - Improved: Further swipe performance enhancements in the Journal. - Improved: Switching tabs no longer resets the previous tab. - Improved: The photo crop interface for person selection is now less crappy and more croppy. - Fixed: A crash at launch that occurred on some devices. - Performance: I figured out how to show animated mood smileys without it crushing the performance. Let there be motion! As always, let me know if you have thoughts, criticism or just want to say hi: hi@marcel.io xoxo Marcel
A quick little update update: - Heavily improved: Swiping horizontally in the Journal isn’t a nightmare anymore. - Fixed: The mood graph on top of Journal had a few issues that I negotiated away. But don't miss the ACTUAL news! Hot off the presses: Friends, it’s time for another update. Hold on to your socks, this one is a biggie. - NEW: Add more than one entry to each section of your day! Finally! - NEW: Add notes to people! Want to remember that important interview your friend has coming up? Write a note! Want to never again forget the names of their twelve ferrets? Write a note! - NEW: Add reminders to notes! These one-off or recurring reminders send you notifications about the things you want to remember about your friends, family and frenemies. - NEW: A new coat of paint! To put more focus on the people in your life, I moved a few things around to make space for what’s most important: Relationships. - Fixed: A bug where unlimited people could be added without a subscription - Fixed: Editing a person now doesn’t automatically select it for the next entry you add. - Fixed: Increased a few paddings here and there to make everything look at bit nicer I hope you like these changes. If you have thoughts, wishes, or just want to reach out, please do: hi@marcel.io xoxo, Marcel

Happy February, friends. I come bearing updates! * NEW: Person profiles now have a graph that shows you how often and when you spend time with someone—and how it makes you feel. All at the same time! Amazing. * NEW: Sync your mood data with Apple Health. You’ll need to activate this manually in Unhinged’s settings. I’m not syncing your data anywhere without your consent. Pinky promise. * NEW: You can now edit the time of an entry. Just hit the three little dots on the add entry screen, and you’re… time traveling in… no time. Sorry. * NEW (but not very cool): A new Diagnostics section in settings logs some activity information. This happens locally on your device and won’t be shared unless you send it somewhere. This’ll come in handy for support requests. That’s it for now. Stay unhinged! xoxo, Marcel
Hello friends, here’s what’s new: * NEW: The Tag Detail View features a GitHub-style activity graph, in addition to the bar chart, for a better overview. * NEW: Quickly jump to a specific month and year in the calendar by tapping a new button in the lower toolbar with one of your fingers. * NEW: The Day Detail View in the calendar now includes buttons to navigate to previous and future days. * IMPROVED: Neutral tags have been added to the calendar filter options. * IMPROVED: A teeny tiny “+” button has been added to the list of tags for the current day, making it easier to add tags if you forget something or if things change. Unhinged greetings to you! xoxo Marcel
