FOODLE Another new search engine option (see Settings → Browser). While the previously introduced Web Recipe Search works by searching on various sites directly, this one is built more like a classic search engine and can also be accessed outside of Mela (https://foodle.recipes). SEARCH "Web Recipe Search" is a new "Search Engine" option for Mela's in-app browser (see Settings → Browser). It works by searching across various recipe sites and then combining all results into one list. These search requests are done directly by Mela. MORE RECIPES Mela’s web recipe importer now supports extracting recipes from video descriptions on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. Please note that, as this uses Mela’s ML-powered importer, it’s always recommended to briefly verify the extracted recipe for accuracy. IMPROVED - Web recipe importer for various sites
NEW (requires iOS 18) You can now translate recipes directly in the editor. Set your preferred target language in Settings → Translation (defaults to your current app language). If translation is supported for a recipe, a “Translate” button will appear in the editor. FEEDS This update adds basic syncing to Feeds. In addition to your feed list, Mela will now also sync deleted recipes from your feeds across devices. NEW - You now can also disable auto-lock (of the screen) when the recipe viewer is displaying a recipe. A note regarding Mela 2: Mela is now free to download with an in-app purchase to unlock all features. That said, nothing changes for you. Since you already bought Mela before version 2, you automatically get the full version. If, for some reason, Mela shows you the purchase panel, a tap on "Restore Purchases" should unlock it again. Mela 2 requires iOS 15 or higher. This update fixes a potential crash when editing ingredient amounts. Previously in 1.5: NEW - Support for notes in Calendar which means you can create an entry without having to add a recipe.
