There’s lots of great upgrades in Pestle 2.1.6, so let’s get into it: New: - Ingredient sections are now supported on more sites - You can now reimport recipes – Newly supported sites Fixes: - A couple of you wrote in with an odd bug you'd spotted, where ingredients would convert a bit weirdly. For example, "1 cup water" could convert to "1 mL water", obviously not ideal - When searching, certain characters could fail to produce results some times. - The keyboard couldn't be dismissed when searching. - The Meal Plan widget would use low quality images. - Pestle could crash when adding a recipe to a folder. - Shared recipes couldn't be opened.

Pestle can now refetch images for recipes with low-quality (or no) images. Also, couple of bug fixes here, including imperial volumes not being preserved through conversions, a crash that could occur on Pro Max iPhones on rotation, a crash that could occur when updating your Cookbook, and a crash that could happen when granting Reminders permission from the recipe viewer page.

You can now save recipes directly from Instagram to Pestle! Pestle can also save recipes from any plain text source, including Notes. Enjoy a fresh coat of paint across several screens and a delightfully over-engineered loading indicator.

Introducing the Pestle in-app browser! Add recipes without ever leaving Pestle. There's lots of other improvements too: – Export your entire cookbook to markdown. – Notes and Ingredient Sections are now included in your Markdown exports. – Fixed a bug where recipes saved from Chrome could save multiple times. – Fixed a bug preventing recipes from The Times from being bookmarked. – Recipes imported from Paprika will now re-fetch images at higher quality. – Ranged fractional quantities are now better supported and scaled.
This update adds some great new features to the Pantry for Pestle Pro users. Scan barcodes as you shop to automatically add items to your pantry, and add expiration dates to get reminded when you need to restock! This update also addresses a crash that could affect some iPad users in portrait mode when they tried to start cooking.
# Introducing Pestle Pantry Add kitchen staples, like Olive Oil, Salt, Pepper, etc to your pantry, and we'll make sure they're not added to your shopping list by meal plans or recipes. # Ingredient Sections You can now create ingredient sections by adding a ":" to the end of ingredient. For example "For the sauce:" will format all subsequent ingredients in their own sections. Other changes: – This update also addresses an issue with SharePlay – Only today and future recipes in the meal plan will be added to your shopping list – Anyone in a household can now delete all recipes, regardless of whether it is theirs.
