Bug fixes and internal improvements
• added new date period (two days) for the Amazon auto-delete feature • improved processing of Apple Store URLs when adding a new delivery
• improved carrier color coding: purple and blue colors are lighter when using the dark mode to improve legibility • improved carrier recognition for new carriers
The app is now using a monospaced font for the tracking number label on the delivery details page.
You can now enable the option to automatically delete completed Amazon deliveries after a certain period of time. This option can be enabled in the app settings ("Amazon Integration").
Fixed bug when sometimes it was not possible to enable calendar integration in the app settings
Fixed bug when widgets were not correctly displayed when the Home screen was tinted in iOS 18
Minor improvements to the app shortcuts. Shortcuts to open the app and start adding a new delivery or open the barcode scanner are now exposed to Spotlight when you search for Parcel.
This update includes new features for iOS 18 and watchOS 11. • the app icon has a separate variant for the dark and tinted appearance. The same applies to some of the alternative app icons that you can enable in the app settings (iOS 18) • the smart stack in watchOS will be able to automatically show upcoming deliveries based on expected delivery date (watchOS 11) Known Issues: • it is not possible to search by a tracking number in Spotlight in iOS 18 (FB14044211)
Updated Share Extension (iOS 17 only) I am continuing to rewrite parts of Parcel using SwiftUI. This time it is a turn for the new delivery form which looks almost like the old one but operates very differently under the hood. Unfortunately, at this moment it is introduced only for the share extension.
This update resolves the issue when you could see "Page not found" message when trying to re-enable Amazon integration.
Placeholders We are introducing support for placeholders. A placeholder is a template for an upcoming delivery (which does not have a tracking number yet). To add a placeholder, start adding a new delivery and type any four digits (e.g. 1234). Once you add it, you will be able to later edit it (to set a real tracking number) and change its expected delivery date in the delivery actions. New Settings The app settings were rewritten in SwiftUI. There are only minor visual differences compared to the previous version, however, under the hood everything is completely different.
Slightly tweaked the logic behind the appearance of the filter button.
• completed migration to the new app database schema. More information on that below • improved messaging when a new Amazon delivery is added manually with the Amazon integration already enabled • improved messaging for a rare case when iOS asks the app to sign out user after Apple ID becomes invalid This updates brings a significant change to the app database schema. This is an internal change that is necessary to perform future updates and code rewrites in the app code. Once you open the app, it will be empty but then it will load all of your deliveries.
Our calendar integration has received a major update. Now you can use it with 3rd party apps and share your calendar with other people. P.S. Happy Holidays! We hope you like our new Holidays-themed app icon. You can enable it in the app settings.
Adding a new complication on Apple Watch is now a lot easier. You no longer need to assign a specific delivery to a complication, you can have your latest updated delivery displayed there automatically.
It is Halloween time! We hope you like our new Halloween-themed app icon. You can enable it in the app settings.
Carrier Color Coding I am pleased to introduce one of the most highly-requested features - color-coding of deliveries based on a carrier. You can enable this feature in the app settings and after that, every delivery will have its own color for the day counter and status icon. The color is based on a carrier. Redesigned Apple Watch app for watchOS 10 Apps in watchOS 10 make considerate use of background content to convey additional information. Parcel is following this approach by providing different backgrounds for deliveries based on a carrier. This helps users to navigate and quickly identify deliveries. When you select a delivery in the new watchOS app, you will the latest status of your delivery. Using the Digital Crown you can go switch to the next page and see its full history with all events listed in one place. Parcel widgets in smart stack on Apple Watch also have different backgrounds.
Improved Siri support on Apple Watch. You can ask Siri "Track package [delivery name]" to track a package. To use that on Apple Watch, you will need to have the app watch installed and refreshed with latest data (meaning that it has to be refreshing periodically in background as well).
Small bug fixes and improvements
• Amazon orders that were cancelled should be now properly recognized as such and marked as delivered. This feature currently works with English, German and Italian. • improved recognition for DHL Global Mail tracking numbers • fixed bug when the notification content extension was not loading the map. As a reminder, you can tap and hold on a notification from Parcel to get a detailed view with a map displayed.
Clipboard detection is now available again in Parcel. If you enable it, the app will automatically paste anything that looks like a tracking number when you start adding a new delivery. You can enable clipboard detection in the app settings.
Fixed bug when a delivery title was staying on screen after swiping back on iPhone 14.
Introducing Siri support in Parcel (iOS 16 only) Now you can quickly check the status of an active package in Parcel using Siri. Here are some example phrases for a package called “MacBook”: “Track Parcel MacBook” “Where is my MacBook parcel?” “When does my MacBook parcel arrive?” “What is the status of MacBook in Parcel” Parcel supports Siri with the following languages: English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Portuguese. You can see Siri phrases for all languages here: https://parcel.app/help/siri.html Please note that to track a package with Siri, you have to say a complete package name in your Siri command. Basically it has to be a short name to be convenient, e.g. “Shoes”. This is a limitation of Siri in iOS 16.
Lock Screen Widgets (iOS 16 only) Parcel supports all three types of lock screen widgets and you can assign a specific delivery to a widget (just like you can do with a regular widget). New Apple Watch Complications (watchOS 9 only) Complications on Apple Watch are now the same as lock screen widgets in the iOS app. You can assign a specific delivery to a complication too, it could be a day counter or a delivery status. Changes to Automatic Pasting (iOS 16 only) Due to privacy-related changes in iOS 16, it is no longer possible for Parcel to check your clipboard when adding a new delivery. To paste what is currently in your clipboard, please click on a separate paste button located next to the camera button (on iPhone) or on the keyboard (iPad).

Bug fixes and small improvements
Fixed bug when sometimes it was not possible to share a tracking link with Parcel
Sometimes when you copy a tracking number from a website or an email you end up not just with a tracking number, but with something like "USPS: 1234567890". This update should remove unnecessary text in cases like that.
Calendar Integration Now you can enable calendar integration in the app settings. Deliveries with expected delivery date will be added to your system calendar. Please note that 3rd party calendar apps are not supported, the app will create its own local calendar in the Apple Calendar app.

• improved handling of Apple Store orders • added a warning message when Amazon integration is enabled but the app background refresh is not • fixed bug when the map was missing location names in the Parcel App Clip

• fixed bug when sometimes switching to the next pin in the map view was not readjusting the map to show it • the arrow buttons in the map view are now disabled when there is no next pin to select
This update brings new map pins to the map view in the app and to the map widget. New pins have a fresh look and indicate what kind of an event took place on the map. I hope that you will like them! Please note that only new deliveries will get additional map pin icons (for the events like “out for delivery” and “awaiting collection”). Old deliveries that you had before installing this update will mostly show only truck icons (indicating that an item is in transit).
This update improves Amazon integration in the app.
This update improves handling of daylight savings time for notifications sent to you when the option “Notifications At Night” is disabled.
Now you can delete multiple deliveries at once. To do that, tap and hold on any delivery and select the relevant menu option to enable multiple selection. After that select the deliveries you don’t need and tap on “Delete”. Other improvements: • map position is restored in a thumbnail after leaving the map view • improved messaging for cases when the app server is not available • improved messaging for adding PostNL deliveries
