This release focuses on bugs found on prior versions of Environment. - Fix an issue for the Apple Watch app that causes an app crash for some users, which happens immediately on launch of the app. - Fix an air quality data parsing bug, which can causes air quality data to error out for the entirety of the day, despite the data being available. The rain map buffet is here! Have your rain maps on your lock screen*, watch (as complications) or even via Live Activities*! *iOS 16.x required. Furthermore, there are other new watch complications for weather elements such as temperature, air quality, and more! This release also fixes an issue with the data source that was used in prior versions. Since 1 Jan 2023, temperature, humidity, air quality indexes and forecasts could not be accessed due to the data source outage. As I do not know when / if the data source would be recovered, I have made it such that Environment now uses an alternate data source, which should provide the same local data, from our local agencies. Since both the new and previous data source are not maintained or affiliated by me, I cannot guarantee when / if it will ever get into an outage as well, but I will try my best to assist on such issues, regardless. Apologies for the degraded performance in the prior weeks. As always, thank you for your support in Environment, and have a great day ahead!
This release of Environment brings compatibility fixes for iOS 16 and watchOS 9 users. - The rain map for watchOS 9 users on previous versions of Environment, is less zoomed-in compared to when using Environment on watchOS 8.x and below. This has been rectified. - Users on iOS 16 may encounter very slight sizing misalignments on previous version of Environment. This has also been rectified. As always, thank you all for your support in Environment, and have a great day ahead!
This release of Environment brings minor bug fixes. I’ve got rid of the bugs that caused the “View All / Delete” menu page to be incorrectly offset, as well as optimisation on the map caching of the list view. The release of this update, also coincides with the introduction of Environment on another platform… Introducing... Environment for Apple TV, which is also for free, on the tvOS App Store! Please do support and try out the young sibling of Environment, if you own an Apple TV! As always, thank you all for your support, and have a great day ahead!
This major update brings a set of new widgets - Rain Map Mini! These widgets come in 2 sizes, small and medium. You can have them on your Home Screen to show the latest rain conditions, either of the entire Singapore, or the conditions of a radius of your selected location. There are also changes to improve visibility of lists in dark mode, improvements in how errors are communicated, as well as a better search system that allows you to search locations such as buildings, malls, attractions, rather than just roads. As always, I hope you enjoy using Environment, and have a great day ahead!
This update fixes the recent Rain Map loading issue which is caused by an erroneous date setting that results in the app calling for 2022’s weather, which obviously doesn’t exists yet. I guess it’s the app’s way of wishing everyone a Happy New Year! As always, thanks for all your support! Also, I would like the thank the user that informed me about the issue of the rain map. Thank you!
Hello Singapore! It's time for some minor update! In this update, Environment uses data.gov.sg data sets yet again, since it has been back online for a couple of days now. Thanks for your support in Environment! Have a great day ahead!
(Refer to @appEnvironment on Twitter for latest disruptions/outages of this app) To our users, we are sorry. Since the mornings of 2 October 2021, PSI, PM2.5 and weather forecast data have been unavailable for our users. Investigation suggests that the data.gov.sg data source stopped providing such data since 7AM, and as of time of writing, the disruption was not resolved. In the meantime, alternative sources (which are still from official sources) were used for these sets of data in this update. Thanks for supporting Environment, and as always, have a great day!
